Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

This page explains what information Strancer collects when you use our app and talk to Riya, why we collect it, who it's shared with, and your choices. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past.

1. Who we are

Strancer AI Labs ("Strancer", "we") is an AI consulting firm. We help companies find where AI can make a real difference in their business, and then build it. Riya is Strancer's AI consultant: a voice you talk to about how your company works.

For anything in this policy, contact us at riya@strancer.com.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the service:

  • Account details: your name, work email, role, company name and website, and anything else you add to your profile, such as phone number, country, a short bio and profile links.
  • Your answers to the questions before your call.
  • Your conversations with Riya: what you and Riya say is transcribed into text. When call recording is switched on, we also keep an audio recording. You are told on the join screen before every call.
  • What Riya captures from the conversation: a summary of your business, the facts she notes, and the opportunities she spots.
  • Public information about your company that we read from your website, so Riya is prepared before the call.
  • Bookings you make, and the emails we send you.
  • Basic technical information: when you sign in, the device and browser you use, and, if analytics is switched on, how pages are used (no advertising tracking).

We do not collect passwords - you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.

3. How we use it

  • To run your calls with Riya and keep them going across sessions.
  • To prepare your AI Transformation roadmap and other documents we deliver to you. Our consultants read the transcripts and summaries to do this.
  • When colleagues at your company also talk to Riya, to build one picture of your business. A colleague's conversation can inform what Riya asks you, but colleagues do not see each other's transcripts.
  • To send you the emails the service needs: sign-in codes, booking confirmations and reminders, and updates about your roadmap.
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to improve it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Call recordings and transcripts

Every call with Riya is transcribed. When recording is switched on, the audio is stored privately in Strancer's Google Drive, where only Strancer staff can reach it. It is never shared publicly or by link.

Within Strancer, only the people who prepare your roadmap (owners and consultants) can read transcripts or listen to recordings, and each time they do it is logged.

If you'd rather not be recorded, tell us before your call or email us, and we'll arrange it.

5. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run Strancer. They process your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Google (Gemini) - Riya's voice and understanding during calls.
  • Groq - summarising your company's website and answering questions in the support chat.
  • Tavily - reading your company's public website.
  • Google Drive - storing call recordings, when recording is switched on.
  • Hostinger - hosting the app, its database and our email.
  • Google Analytics - understanding how pages are used, when switched on, with advertising features turned off.
  • Brandfetch and Logo.dev - showing your company's logo. Only your public company domain is sent.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We will also share information if the law requires it.

Within your company: people at your company on Strancer can see who else has joined and how far each person has got (for example, "call done"). They cannot see what you said. In a group call, everyone in the call hears and sees what is said in it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account, transcripts, recordings and roadmap for as long as your company works with Strancer, so you can come back to them. When you ask us to delete them, or once they are no longer needed, we delete them.

Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and sign-in links after 7 days.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws, you can ask us to:

  • show you the information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose, where the law allows.

Email riya@strancer.com from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

Sign-in uses one-time codes, never passwords. Sign-in tokens are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, connections are encrypted, recordings are private, and staff access to transcripts is limited by role and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

9. Cookies and browser storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage that the service needs: to keep you signed in, to remember your progress through the questions, and to remember settings like theme and text size. If analytics is switched on, Google Analytics also sets cookies to count page use. We don't use advertising cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell you by email or in the app.
